VZ Family Round-Up August

Artist Blog Post

Here’s the latest round of updates from across the VZ Family network.

The VZ Family grows

To kick start the month, we’re pleased to announce that we have welcomed some brand new members into the Vocalzone Family, including the likes of rock legends Uriah Heep (Watch this video to see what Uriah Heep had to say about Vocalzone), Maori thrash trio Alien Weaponry, doom metal outfit Conan, the powerful vocals of Chiara Malvestiti (Therion, Crysalis), alternative duo Alone I Walk, underground hero’s Centuries, Berkshire rock band Veridian, London metalcore act Familiar Spirit, emerging pop artist Eleni C and last but not least international shredders JOANovARC.

We look forward to welcoming new members over the coming months.

Bloodstock

Once again, I found myself travelling up to Derby for the iconic Bloodstock festival, and as ever it failed to disappoint!

This years headliners included the likes of Sabaton leading the charge, Australian underdogs Parkway Drive and the classic Scorpions closed what was a fantastic weekend. Playing alongside such acts were a number of members of the VZ Family including Ten Ton Slug, Control The Storm, Raging Speedhorn, Divine Chaos (featuring members of Furyborn) Krysthla, Fractions, Victus, The Jailbirds and Womenowar (featuring members from Dakesis)

After all the hard work the festival put in, we were over the moon to hear that Bloodstock won Best Festival at the Heavy Music Awards! I’m already counting down the days until next summer!

Bloodstock
Boomtown

Boomtown

The only disapointment about Bloodstock for me is that it falls on the same weekend as Boomtown Festival, Boomtown has grown over recent year to a prominent date on the festival calendar. Its diverse lineup included The Lions Den for Reggae, DSTRKT 5 for Drum’N’Bass, Dis-order Alley for Metal, Barrio Loco for Hip Hop and the list goes on and on!

This year a whole host of VZ artists also graced the line up including Gardna, Eva Lazarus, Dead Label, and Extreme Noise Terror performed throughout the weekend each bringing something new and different to one of the countries most diverse festival weekends.
