Here’s the latest round of updates from across the VZ Family network.

New VZ Family members!

this month we welcome a few artists to the ever growing VZ Family

We include alt grunge group Goldblume from Cambridge, americana country singer Ags Connolly from Oxfordshire, Irish Prog metal band Sectile from Dublin, and ofcourse our local heroes glam rock Saints Of Sin of Bournemouth! Click on their names to find out more.

Our Hollow Our Home go ahead once again Holloween this year!

Making their mark once again, Our Hollow Our Home return to their roots in Southampton to perform for what has become a tradition, this tradition is ofcourse Holloween!

The past three years have seen OHOH perform alongside freinds and artists alike for a full day, providing the coastal city and possibly the south coast for the proper event for metalcore enthusisasts. This year the line up includes Holding Absence, Shapes, Thecityisyours, Lock & Key, Captives, As Everything Unfolds, Ursus, Selfworth and Thousand Voices.

If your doing nothing on the 26th of October, this is deffonitly not one to miss! Also dont forget to check out Our Hollow, Our Homes new music video for ‘Burn It//Bury It’ on their page!

Maxi Nil- The Voice

VZ Family member Maxi Nil becomes Vocal coach on the Voice!

Earlier this month, I was told some exciting news from Maxi Nil, the lead singer of Jaded Star. That news had to be kept underwraps for a while but now im excitited to say that Maxi Nil will be one of the vocal coachs of the greek litteration of the Voice!

With her powerful vocals and her vast exsperiance in being a voice care proffesinoal we know any contestant that falls under her wing will be in good handsand who knows maybe even a winner!

In Other News…

Once again multiple artists have been working on their crafts to release plenty of new tracks, whether that be an EP hinting of upcoming material or a full brand new album for the masses! We’ve also got some pretty incredible announcements with tours and festivals!

  • Country duo Smith And Brewer are preparing to release their brand new album ‘Another Shade Of’. The album is almost like a greatest hits however both Smith & Brewer have looked through their last 3 years of songwritting and decided what really promises to show what they are all about. From their familiar aucostic roots to going full electric (with the help of freinds Eric Lavansch on drums and Tom Sinnett on bass for our rhythm section. with the album being released on the first of november you dont want to miss out!
  • Our very own slam kings Ingested are preparing for their european November tour where they will be hitting all the mainland and UK alongside Within Destruction, Signs Of The Swarm and Distant!
  • Next month on the 16th, Power Quest which fronted by VZ artist Ashley Edison will be celebrating the 15th anniverisry of the album ‘Neverworld’. Given the importance of the event, the band as inviitted not one, not two but seven former members. Also supporting the night is Absolvia which includes brothers Chris & Luke Appleton!
  • Up and commers Dream State are still out on tour with Normadie with special support guests including VZ family members Behind Blue Eyes & Take Today. They have also just been announced for next year’s Slam Dunk in Leeds alongside artists such as Pennywise, Sum 41, Don Broco and many more to be announced.
  • Our powermetal freinds in Italy, Temperance have announced they will be releasing a brand new album via Nucleaur Blast next year entitiled ‘Viridian’. They have released the first single from the album called ‘Mission Impossible’.
  • King Creature have just begun their journey  as special guests supporting Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons for their ‘Old Lions Still Tour‘ throught the UK. Following that, they head out with metal icon Doro as support in Europe. Last but not least they also just released their brand new single ‘Desolation’.
  • UK Progressive metal stalwarts Dakesis have announced that the title of their new album will be ‘Fractures’, and will be released worldwide next year in March via the band’s own label CaspaArxRecords. 

  • Now down to one of Yorkshires finest (and hardest working) MC is none other that Parly B who has recently joined the Yorkshire Collective and has unveiled his merch alongside a couple more events, go click on his page to find out more!
  • Our freinds The Kut have just finished their UK tour, we were able to catch them down Bournemouth for a fantastic night where they also gave fans a halloween treat in the form of a new music video for ‘X-Ray Eyes’.
  • Straight from the black country, Wolf Jaw have been had a huge year from with both massive highlights incluidng Download Festival, however no matter what happens they still havent lost any steam as shown in the release their brand new single ‘Piece Of Me’ from their brand new album, ‘The Heart Wont Listen‘.
  • Irish Thrash group Dead Label have once again, come back with a killer as seen in their brand new music video for ‘Dystopian Complex’.
  • From my old stomping ground Portsmouth, Seething Akira decided that it was time to pay tribute to one of the orginal kickstart of mixing the attitude of punk, the freshness of hip hop, and the ecentricity of electronic, ofcourse im on about Beastie Boys hit song ‘Intergalactic‘.
  • Once again our freinds Morass Of Molasses are on tour throughout the UK alongside another VZ artist being our freinds based down cornwall being Cybernetic Witch Cult who have just released their brand new single The Myth Of Sisyphus’. Will be making sure to catch them at some point on this awesome tour!
  • Halflives have their brand new single ‘Rockstar Everyday’ which was just released this last friday and we can’t wait to hear more!
  • Joanovarc are still got more dates on their tour all the way through to november with fellow VZ artists Fyresky , Verity White & The Howling Tides!
  • It’s not long now till Alt Pop trio Flawes will be releasing their debut album ‘Highlights for all to listen to, whilst fans only have to wait a measly two months, Flawes was well aware that they needed a taster. With a quick responce they unveiled ‘Ghost Town’ which also features Rozez.
  • This Is Turin performed at Techabilitation alongside artists such as Hacktivist, Borders, Sumer, The Mechanist and more which foreshadowed whats to come at next years UK Tech Metal Fest!
  • Hollowstar will be joining the likes of The Quireboys, Mitchell Mike & The Coldhearts & Crashdiet for Skid Row’s tour. I look forward to catching them on the road!
  • For our welsh Family members, It appears death metal Sodomized Cadaver, black metal Agrona and ofcourse Democratus are joining forces in January next year!
  • The Uncharted will have just started the ‘Low’ tour where they will be supported by Thecityisyours.
  • At the beginning of November is Damnation Festival which is probably one of the heaviest events to start a month I can think of! This Year we are happy to VZ family members on all stages inclduing recent addition Alunah, Occult practioners The Infernal Sea and of course one of my personal favourites Raging Speedhorn!
