Download Festival 2019- VZ Artists to catch!

Download_Dog

It’s time for one of the biggest and most prestigious Rock Festivals in the world; Download Festival!

It’s fair to say that Download Festival has become iconic in the live British music scene. Based in Donnington Park, headliners including Metallica, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Faith No More and Rage Against The Machine have performed to thousands of rockers and metalheads from all over.

As a self-confessed rock and metalhead, I can’t remember the last time I’ve actually missed the festival, and this year is no different… I’m really excited to watch this year’s headliners Def Leppard, Slipknot and Tool. I’m also really looking forward to catching some of the VZ Artists who will be playing at the festival. If you’re coming along to the festival this weekend, you really want to make some time to check these guys out:

CONJURER

Day: Friday

Stage: The Dogtooth Stage

Quickly rising from the pits are none other than Conjurer! Like their name would suggest, the band uses all of its alchemy to create a potent sound, once again proven with their critically acclaimed album ‘MIRE’. Conjurer were also nominated for Best New Band at the Metal Hammer 2018 Golden Gods Awards. If you’re looking for bone crushing riffs and ferocious vocals, make sure to go and check Conjurer out on Friday!

VEGA

 Day: Friday

Stage: The Dogtooth Stage

Friday is shaping up to be a day packed full of classic rock, signed off with Def Leppard and Whitesnake headlining the main stage. We think that VEGA’s sound complements the day’s theme and they will be performing on the Dogtooth stage on Friday. Influenced by the likes of Def Leppard, the band have performed internationally and picked up a loyal fan base since their formation and triumphant debut album ‘Kiss of Life’ in 2007. One not to miss on Friday!

WOLF JAW

As Sunday draws in with the inescapable fact that the last day of the festival is upon us, you really need a group that will kick us already exhausted fans right into gear for the final push.  We’re certain that West Midlands rockers Wolf Jaw will be able to get your day up and running with a bang! Formerly known as the Bad Flowers, the three piece band have really nailed their hard rock sound, so if you’re looking for a Sunday morning pick me up, head on over to the Dogtooth Stage.

YOURS TRULY

All the way from the other side of the world are Australian band Yours Truly. Braving the British summertime to perform at Download this year, Yours Truly are a thriving pop-punk band who are embarking on a UK tour and supporting the likes of Sum 41 and State Champs on set dates. They’re not around often, and we think you will be disappointed if you don’t catch these guys live.
