A mesmerising performance of ‘Getaway’ from South coast boys, Hello Hawaii…
With a wide background in music, singer-songwriter Wesley Bennett formed the four-piece band in 2010 with members: James Dempsey on lead guitar, Frank Waloszek on drums and Max Fry playing bass.
Hello Hawaii have been gigging regularly around the Bournemouth area for some years now, and it was Chaplin’s bar in Boscombe where we first saw them play. It was their soulful yet energetic performance that had us captivated, and we knew then they simply had to feature in a Vocalzone Live Session.
The band have distinguished themselves with their uniquely innovative sound, and powerful lyrical themes. A cross of Folk, Indie, Country, Rock and Jazz accompanied by Wesley’s deeply emotional song-writing, and truly wonderful voice, is what makes Hello Hawaii a stand out band on the South coast’s live gigging circuit.
