Rich Lown is a singer/songwriter from the south coast of England. Fusing folk and rock with his unique voice Rich Lown is bringing freshness and honesty to music.
Much of his music is a moment of catharsis caught in song through an intuitive process of song writing. It’s natural, catchy and comes from within, proving that songs can be popular and still be soulful.
Rich has received an increasing number of music accolades over the years with various festivals under his belt, a tour of 15 prestigious venues with MBE and Brit Award nominee Joan Armatrading, finishing in the top 10 in the country for the UK’s biggest unsigned solo artist talent search ‘Open Mic UK‘, various talent competition crowns, TV and film features including a number of episodes of Hollyoaks, a deal with an LA based music syncing company, a national song writing finalist and a top 20 iTunes album within his genre, Rich is certainly among one of the UK’s brightest emerging talents.

Once described as ‘British John Mayer’ Rich independently released his debut album ‘Worlds Apart’ in 2013. With his first EP ‘Time For Us All’ selling to over 25 countries around the world in just 12 months, the much anticipated debut album ‘Worlds Apart’ promised to please fans of Rich’s music around the globe, and it didn’t fail to deliver with his fresh Folk/Rock sounds extending his sales to 29 countries around the world.
After a busy few years, Rich soon penned his second studio album ‘Brand New Start’ of which climbed to 12th in the Singer-Songwriter ITunes charts on release week.
After releasing his 5th studio EP entitled ‘Take Me Home’ in 2015 and through much encouragement from his ever building fan base, Rich finally put the finishing touches to a brand new album. A collection of songs written about the various turbulences in his life over the last few years, Rich has already labelled these ‘the strongest and most emotive songs’ he has written to date.

Since releasing the album back in 2016, nearly every song off the record caused a huge stir behind the scenes with his track ‘Take Me Home’ a feature on national BBC radio. The recognition did not stop there as Rich was then nominated out of thousands of entries for ‘Best Solo Male’, in the countries first televised national Unsigned Music Awards in ‘The UMA’s’.
Following an exciting end to 2016, Rich moved swiftly on to his next project by putting a band together for a special live show in his home venue ‘The White Rock Theatre’. Performing to a huge crowd of adoring fans, Rich performed all his favourites and more with the whole show being recorded and later released in Summer 2017.
With various new songs under his belt, collaborations in the pipeline and a recent support slot with Boyzone on their farewell tour, Rich continued to make huge strides in the music industry and is already making plans for his next album following another hugely successful 2018 4 track EP Live in The Moment.
