Esprit D’Air

Reformed in June 2016, Esprit D’Air is a DIY and self-signed rock and metal band consisting of Kai on vocals and guitar, Ellis on bass and Daishi on drums.

As featured in The Huffington Post, Kerrang! Radio, and recommended by HMV, the J-rockers’ critically-acclaimed debut album, Constellations, premiered on TeamRock , which saw their lead single, ‘Guiding Light’ listed ‘best 50 rock songs of 2017’, and nominated by NEO Magazine as ‘Best Musical Act of 2017’.

Since their reformation in 2016, Esprit D’Air has been going strength-to-strength from performing at the UK’s largest Japanese culture festival HYPER JAPAN, to selling out a headline show at O2 Academy2 Islington, and supporting the likes of Canada’s darkwave band The Birthday Massacre, and doom pop quartet Courtesans. Their sound is unique and fresh, bringing together hard-hitting aggression with melodic interludes and blistering guitar solos. The band has received critical acclaim from their charismatic live shows in large stages such as Olympia and ExCeL in London, Le Trianon in Paris, La Farga in Barcelona, and more. The band rose to popularity as their song ‘Shizuku’ was the first track in the J-rock genre to appear in the Xbox360 video game Rock Band 3.

Being no strangers to covers, here is Esprit D’air’s version of ‘Serafin’ originally performed by Dead End.

The band is not seeking a major record label but instead, follow a strong DIY ethos and produce everything themselves to be as self-sufficient as possible. Consequently, they record, mix and master their own releases in their own home recording studio and produce the artwork themselves. Esprit D’Air are touring in February 2018 to celebrate the release of their upcoming album, Constellations, including a headline show at The Underworld Camden in London.

Let’s see what Kai has to say about Vocalzone!

“I use Vocalzones regularly prior to vocal warm-ups, rehearsals, and mid-performance.”
