The Head Hunters Blues Band fast became a blues band to be reckoned with in Liverpool.

Currently holding down residential spots Hannah’s Bar with another when Lennon’s Bar re opens, after catching the eye of former Beatle Pete Best who recommended the bar take The Head Hunters Blues Band on full time. Slackjaw Jonnie and Big Bill Riding recently made a guest appearance at the Liverpool Philharmonic, where a sold out performance of music from film The Last Waltz saw the duo take to the stage to perform Muddy Waters ‘Mannish Boy’.

Recently dubbed “Liverpool’s best and most authentic blues band, these boys are the ones keeping this music alive” by former promoter of Ruby Blues Bar and master of ceremonies at the Everyman Theatre’s Jazz Club David Fishel, The Head Hunters Blues Band are now looking further afield, heading out of Liverpool and looking to conquer every blues club in the north west and beyond, playing to a standing room only audience at Blues Bar Tring, joined onstage by keys player G Lewis of Paul Rodgers band, of Free and Bad Company, and by guitar player Aaron Keylock. If you’re looking for a night of killer electric blues, played with passion, look no further. Every ounce of this bands soul is left on stage, the blues is alive and well.
