Steven Lindsay

Steven’s musical interests have changed so much over the years.

He started off as a backing track singer doing jazz and swing covers, after that he then decided he wanted to learn to play an instrument so ended up teaching himself to play guitar aged 14.

Steven then went on to start writing his own music and began experimenting with what sort of artist he was. He roamed around, playing acoustic covers in local bars and restaurants from the age of 16 then  was asked to join a pop punk band aged 18. He stayed with them for a couple of years and then the band split due to family and work commitments so he began writing songs for a solo project. It’s taken him a few years to perfect what he wanted to release but he is ready to drop his debut single (Butterfly) and is excited to get his debut E.P (Battlescars) out there!

Check out Steven Lindsey’s Cover of The Polices Hit Song ‘Every Little Thing She Does’ below. If you want to see a music video of one of his orginal tracks you wont have to wait long.

Steven has many  artists that have inspired him over the years from various places such as David Bowie, Sting, Stevie Wonder, David Gray, James Morrison, Frank Ocean, Chris Brown; the list goes on.

He’d say my writing style is highly inspired by Charlie Simpson with a folk pop vibe. However like the many inspirations he has, he finds his style of writing quite vast and wouldn’t shoehorn himself into just one genre of music as he also has a big love for R&B music too.

Let’s see what Steven Lindsay has to say about Vocalzone!

I gig 5 nights a week. I’ve used Vocalzone pastilles for years to help me through a heavy run of gigs and they help prolong my vocal clarity and stamina. Looking after your voice is so important and the guys at Vocalzone have cracked it with their range of remedies to help singers keep on top of their game.
