Slowly Sinking Ships

Alternative rockers from Somerset etching their name in stone.

Slowly Sinking Ships are a five piece, female fronted Alternative Rock band from Devon/Somerset. The band originally started with guitarist Steven and guitarist Tom, they began by having a friendly jamming session at Steve’s house and slowly progressed to writing lyrics and music. They both became passionate about music and decided to take it further. Bassist Harri was first to join the duo, with vocalist Amber and drummer Lee joining shortly after to make the quintet. It didn’t take the band long to progress and within only 3 months, they brought out their debut single ‘INSANE’ which had a big reaction both on social media and radio which pushed them further to writing more music.

Check out their debut single ‘Insane’ below

They have been featured on BBC Introducing, Radio Exe, Best Of British Unsigned Music and even had their music played on radio stations abroad in Australia and Spain. Each individual member of the band has a big part to play when writing new music, each having their own styles and musical influences, they join together to create their own fun and unique sound.  Each band member has their own musical influences which include Evanescence, Pvris, Iron Maiden, Muse, Avril Lavigne, Nirvana, Linkin Park, and many many more.

Slowly Sinking Ships have played in venues like Cobblestones, The Cavern and local pubs. Their time has mainly been taken up on recording their E.P, but are now super excited to concentrate on gigging in venues and festivals all around the country with help from their new manager Daniel. All of their social media pages are controlled by them so any messages will be replied to, personally by a member of the band.

Lets see what Amber Sugden has to say about Vocalzone!!

“Vocalzone has not only helped me in a crisis (nearly losing my voice a day before a big gig) but it has also given me confidence when I take the pastels it opens my throat and allows me to work my vocals to the best of my ability. we feel privileged to join the Vocalzone family!”
