Raze The Void

Raze The Void are a Melodic Metal outfit with elements of Prog and Thrash!

Raze The Void was born out of noise and anger in 2015, eventually unleashing into the world cut and refined in January 2016. The name, style, concept, and image came from months of conversation and planning. Prior to the birth of Raze The Void, there was nine years of the band playing together, but in 2015, the decision was made to start afresh and seriously focus into this new endeavour.

Here is what the guys came up with their track ‘Morientum Terra’ which is latin for ‘Dying earth‘ check it out below!

Writing the music started with a joint collection of ideas, riffs, rhythms and sounds, written and fitted together by everyone. The concept intertwining these anthems is the chronicling of a dystopian vision; the overthrow of oppression, the creation of a utopia and finally, repetition. The circular motion of human error and greed. A reflection of man’s ability to find strength and overcome. The combination of these ideologically manic writings and the monstrous sound that carries it became the debut EP ‘Obsolescence’ which, despite only containing three tracks, is just shy of thirty minutes long.

This concept of guerrilla force and dystopian vision coupled with the desire to have a professional and clean image inspired the ‘Raze The Void’ logo and along with it the faux-revolutionary ‘dead tree’ emblem. The music is not intended as a foothold into the realms of populist ideologies, it more a social commentary of self-reflection, the global economic environment, and society as a whole.

See for yourself in their latest music video ‘From The Light And The Dark’ below.

The future for Raze The Void spans far past the end of this first conceptual chapter into another progression of this story. The evolution will only grow further and expand out wider as more experiences and input from fans, other writers and more shape our eventual direction. To date, the touring of ‘Obsolescence’ has taken them all over the UK.

Their eyes look now to expanding further across the rest of the UK, with hope of taking Raze The Void to Europe to spread the name and message.

Let’s see what RJ Learmouth has to say about Vocalzone!

“I first experienced Vocalzone a few years ago at a gig in London through a band we were playing with. The frontman slipped me one of the little black demons as a tester, and it changed everything. It gave me the edge I needed when I needed it!  Vocalzone is more powerful than anything I’ve ever experienced. It clears my throat for every growl and opens up my lungs so that I can smash every high note; it gives me the ability to ensure I’m always at my peak during every single performance. I carry a tin of them with me to every practice and every gig, and I always recommend them to any other metal vocalist.”
