Cambridge’s very own queen of folk Melody Causton, sings with grace.
Side stage, sleeping in guitar cases whilst her parents performed, Melody naturally landed here. She’s now embracing the tea drinking, story telling life of a folk songstress, on the start of her own little journey.
Aged 23, singer-songwriter Melody Causton has released two folk inspired EP’s, supported a number of respected acts within the genre – such as Megson, and has gained valuable radio support from her local BBC Introducing show.

Melody has also now won ‘Best female solo artist’ at Cambridge’s NMG awards three times! Following on from this, she was extremely pleased to recently come third in the ‘Best Unsigned Female’ category at this year’s BOB Unsigned Music Awards, in association with Vocalzone. With a new releases out now, she is looking forward to playing as much as she can whilst continuing to release her music.
Let’s see what Melody Causton has to say about Vocalzone!
“My mum used to sing in a folk band called ‘Shave The Monkey’ when I was a child growing up, and she’s always used Vocalzone! She passed on the secret to me when I started singing, and I’m super happy she did for those late night gigs! They’re a lifesaver in our family.”
