Formed in early 2014 in Scotland, Grace & Legend followed the long-established road of playing local venues and traveling the country with the hope of developing a following.
Along the way the band met with the struggle of line-up changes while creating their first EP ‘Broken Chains’. Now stronger and more ambitious than ever, Grace & Legend comprises vocalist Bekah Mhairi Comrie, guitarist Ashely-Nicole Wall, bassist and backing vocalist Jamie Harris and drummer Tom Parker. Together the new line-up worked hard, drawing on their personal experiences as inspiration for writing their second EP, centred on the theme of meeting the challenges of life head on and overcoming them to become a stronger person. They also took to the stage to support Raveneye, Dream State, Wille and the Bandits, Wildlies and many more.
From their latest album ‘Path To Solace’ comes ‘Dear Old Freind’.
2017 showcased two singles, ‘Dark Disguise’ and ‘Dear Old Friend’, both released from their latest EP ‘Path to Solace’. Since the music video release that April, ‘Dark Disguise’ has been added to many rock playlists across online platforms, gaining attention and exposure from around the world. Dark Disguise explores the struggle of being trapped in a dark place in your life; trying to capture the feeling of desolation that can take over when it seems like nothing is going right. It is a song that naturally expresses passion through dynamics, as well as lyrics and displays the musicality of the group and the pure power that comes from Bekah’s voice.
Also from ‘Path Of Solace’ is non other then ‘Dark Disguise’.
Grace & Legend continuously develop and refine their sound, and have now commenced writing a follow-up album to their EP ‘Path to Solace’ that will contain more energetic, heavier material blended with the melodic and uplifting vocals, taking inspiration from a compilation of their favourite and most influential bands. The album’s set to release in 2019.
