The shade of the band Eclipse is immense!
“Eclipse are an independant five piece melodic progressive metal/djent band hailing from Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. With influences such as Architects, Tesseract, Periphery, Meshuggah and Heart Of A Coward, they combine groovy technical riffs with layers upon layers of ambient melodies delivered by a passionate and energetic front man capable of producing crushing harsh vocals and soaring cleans.
Eclipse formed in Mid 2015 as a solo project which soon became a full band with other members taking an interest. After trying out a range of musicians Eclipse finally became a comfortable unit of like minded musicians. After releasing their first single, Illusions , Eclipse became focused on writing and releasing the debut EP, Perspectives.
Here’s Eclipse’s latest track ‘Monsoon‘. dare you step in?
“At their heaviest, Eclipse are a pulsar of technicality and brutality. Articulate in their execution, calculating in their structure, these are no mere seven-stringed open playing chug jockeys the metal scene has been saturated with.”
They began to play shows far more frequently playing shows with the likes of Bilial, Sea Of Treachery, Continents, Loathe, Skyharbour, Modern Day Babylon and Sithu Aye amongst many more. After about a year and a half of gigging the guitarist, Hue, made the difficult decision to step down from the band due to his health being jeopardized.
From their debut EP Perspectives comes ‘Denziens’.
Eclipse came to a bit of a standstill whilst on the hunt for a new guitarist, although still writing and practising together as often as possible. Around 6 months later, the bassist Ryan stepped up to play guitar and Eclipse found themselves a replacement bassist, Joe who joined the family. With the unit once again whole, Eclipse began writing taking their sound more ferocious and aggressive than before. Eclipse are now more determined and working harder than ever to produce new music and create new opportunities through performing live when ever and where ever possible.
Let’s see what Eclipse has to say about Vocalzone!
“When we first started performing live we always thought vocal warm ups were enough. One day whilst gigging with a friend’s band he began to tell us all the benefits of using Vocalzone. We decided to try it and never looked back since. Notes are easier to hit and hold, vocals are crisper and sharper and most of all my voice is more durable and consistent throughout the full show. We now use Vocalzone in every aspect from practise to shows to recording and works miracles.”
