DRGM who?? DRGM is a seductive beauty, a modern trio, an elaborate band.
Hailing from London the group met in some flat on Kingsland road, Dalston. Consisting of Ellen (she sings etc), Gregory (the awkward dancing guy that plays keys and a guitar etc) and Steven or better known as Goose (the Australian drummer guy etc).
What genre are they ETCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC……………….? Well……. It’s kind of like a love child of an old jazz guy, that’s trying to be cool with a young EDM (that’s electronic dance music for you square folk) DJ and likes to use genres like “highlife”, “indie”(basically just because there are way too many guitars) and straight out “pop”.
To understand DRGM properly listen to their song ‘Felt’ below!
When did they first start? DRGM have been around for about two years. What started out as a Gregory and Goose putting out demos, has now turned into Ellen coming in and making the songs sound semi listenable. They are now a fully-fledged trio who are starting to, with the help of their label Records Etc, make waves in the music industry.
Where have played etc? DRGM have graced the stage (apart from Gregory, honestly watch his moves live, he is sooooo awkward) many festivals including Blissfields, IOW and Nozstock. They are currently about to head out on a UK tour to support their new release “EP etc”.
DRGM also do some brilliant covers with their own style to create almost entirly new like in this cover of Rihanna’s ‘Stay’ below.
Why should I listen to them? Don’t take our word for it, here’s what some credible people have to say about them:
“Uber accomplished work” – Electric Sound of Joy
“Goosebumps from the first listen” – Fresh on the Net
“A seductive beauty” – The Devil Has The Best Tuna.
Lets see what DRGM have say about Vocalzone!!
“Vocalzone is every singers best friend. They have been apart of every one of my gigs and recording sessions for the past 6 months and I don’t intend to change that. They allow my voice to be at it’s best, even when I’m not 100%.”
