Democratus

Leaving scorched earth in their wake, Democratus are definitely worthy of the dragon!

Formed in the tail end of 2014 from the ashes of various local bands including Counterhold and Cannibal God, Democratus blend technical melody and buzz saw riffage to give their own welsh spin on melodic death metal. Influenced by the likes of Soilwork, Insomnium, In Flames, Amon Amarth and fellow Welsh death metallers Anterior.

Here’s Democratus in all their glory playing ‘Life For A Life’ live in Reading!

Democratus hit the live scene hard in early 2015 with a fiery live show and their previous experience showed through with confident performances from day one. Their own hard work has earned them support slots alongside Suffocation, Onslaught, Lagerstien, Skiltron, Sodomized Cadaver, Desecration and Bloodshot Dawn.

Once again owning the show with their killer song ‘Is This Fear’

A 2 track “Deity Demo” was released in mid 2016 and the 5 track “Starting Again” EP will be released in December. This will mark a new chapter beginning for Democratus as the EP is made up of our older tracks created from previous line ups. Work has already begun on a debut album that will have all new tracks written by the current and settled band line up which is Steve Jenkins Delivering Vocals, Kerrin Beckwith & Joey Watkins tearing the Guitars, Stu “Spoon” Rake ripping the Bass, and last but not least Zak Skane smashing the Drums.

Having reached the Metal 2 The Masses South Wales Final in 2017 and with festival line ups booked all over the UK in 2018, the band have one aim. Democratizing the UK one set at a time!

Lets see what Steve Jenkins has to say about Vocalzone!!

“I have used Vocalzone for many years. I like the taste and it does the job of keeping my throat in check brilliantly”
