Aphyxion

Already been described as ‘The new saviours of melodic death metal’ is non other than Aphyxion!

Since the band was formed in 2007, all members between 13 and 14 years old, the band has gone through a huge development. The young boys has managed to perform at prestigious festivals like Wacken Open Air – as the youngest band ever to play there – Smukfest and Copenhell just to mention a few. They’ve done massive tours around Europe before turning 18 years old, and supported bands like Soilwork, Soulfly and Hatebreed. Before they turned 20, they had already played 200 shows.

The first full length, Earth Entangled, is produced, mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Aborted, Epica) and APHYXION’s own guitarist, Jonas Haagensen. A good cooperation during the recordings secured and tight and powerful sound on the album, which was received very well both domestically and internationally. After the release, the editor of Metal Hammer UK called out APHYXION to be “… the new saviours of melodic death metal – one of the most promising bands in Europe!”

The newest album, Aftermath, was released in december 2016 and marked a new era for APHYXION. The album reflected a bigger and more modern sound from the young boys, and was quickly chosen as “Album of the Week” by Metal Hammer Germany, while Metal Hammer UK pointed it out as a contestant for “Album of the Year”.

Today, they have more than 1.500.000 streams and made a new milestone as they supported Metallica in 2017 in front of 16.000 people at a sold out show in the Royal Arena.

Let’s see what Aphyxion has to say about Vocalzone!

“Vocalzone saves me all the trouble of worrying about my voice before going on stage to perform. It gives instant relief and hasn’t failed me yet. I’d recommend it to all who uses their voice as a part of their profession.”
