The Howling Tides

Take influence from the deep south blues, mix it up with classic rock and you have The Howling Tides.

“Midlands-based Blues rockers Anonymous’ first real incarnation began making music in 2014, the tail end of wich saw the recording of a debut self-titled EP, and a consistent and unrelenting schedule of gigging across the country, gathering fans and positive reviews along the way. By 2015 the quartet had gained considerable momentum and a greater following. Early on in the year their Debut EP was released, and throughout 2015 continued to gig as much as possible, and gain traction both within their fan base and amongst new fans and promoters in different areas. More and more music was written, and by the end of the year plans for a second release had been laid.

The song that started it all from their self titled EP Here’s ‘Doubt’s’

2016 was a great year and kicked off with a huge milestone for the band; Winning the Wolverhampton Slade Rooms’ Battle of the Bands competition, earning them the title of “Band of the Year”. Over the course of the year the band shared line-ups and stages with acts such as The Dead Dasies, The Amorettes, Skinny Molly, The Kentucky Headhunters, and rounded off the year playing to a packed 02 Academy Birmingham(3) and began work on a second release; “What you Deserve”

Early 2017 saw a sold out release show, kicking off a tour playing shows across the country, and coming to a close down in London. The first half of the year garnered praise and support from both fans and critics, and the momentum carrying the band from this point did not, and has not stopped. Anonymous featured on a festival line-up opening for UK rock giants Mallory Knox at Keele University, and put on a charged performance in front of a packed SU building, receiving rave reviews and a cementing a larger following within the university circuit.

2018 sees the band sharing line-ups and festival stages with giants like Hawkwind and Boston, alongside trips abroad to play in other countries. A new release and a tour are expected soon.

Let’s see what Rob Baynes has to say about Vocalzone!

“Vocalzone has helped me massively since discovering it three(ish) years ago, I can’t thank whoever it is who invented it for putting it out there as it really is a lifesaver when it comes to long weekends of gigging, with long sets going late into the night.”
