VZ Family Round Up: April 2019

Artist Blog Post

Our newest feature will be a roundup of what’s going on across the VZ Family network. As a brand, we like to work closely with artists across all genres as a means to support the ever-expanding music scene across the UK and beyond. In this new series, we will be showcasing what these artists are doing; from music festivals to notable achievements and other news updates from across the network.

With that in mind, here’s what’s been happening…

Teddy Rocks 2019

As you may know, Vocalzone is a sponsor of Teddy Rocks Festival. The Vocalzone Stage will be hosting VZ Artists such as Our Hollow Our Home, I The Mapmaker, Dream State and As Flames Rise who will be playing alongside the likes of Loathe and Parting Gift.

You may have seen a few months back that Naked Sunday were voted to play at the festival on our stage, and they will be playing alongside Black Orchid Empire (who will also be supporting Skunk Anasie in Brixton), Wolf Jaw (support for Crobot on their UK tour), Wolf Culture & Youth Killed It.

The festival will be headlined by The Darkness and The Zutons this year. For the full line up and tickets visit the Teddy Rocks website.

A Voice in Westminster…

Grime Artist Shaodow has recently spoken in the Houses of Parliament and to the UK media about the importance of small music venues, and what the UK government can do to further support these establishments. You can watch an excerpt of the encounter below

Hammerfest Strikes

Earlier last month, Great Yarmouth’s Hammerfest took place, which was headlined by Overkill, Kamelot and Vocalzone users Paradise Lost.

Also Featured on this heavy weekend were VZ Artists such as our favourite asylum escapees Ward XVI (Who released their brand new single) Irish Sludgers Ten Ton Slug (Who have also been announced for Bloodstock this year), Black Metal enthusiasts Heathen Deity and Sworn Amongst (who also recently performed with Slam kings Ingested). Unfortunately we couldn’t get to the festival this year but hope to catch the VZ Family and others in the near future!
