Shona Lonagin

We are more then happy to welcome the incredibly talented Shona Lanigan into the Vocalzone Family!

With almost 20 years worth of training and professional experience, it stands to reason that Shona has become such a versatile and dexterous vocalist. Her training began with the Royal Irish Academy of Music where she studied both classical voice and piano, receiving the highest honours in voice by age 17. She then claimed a place at University College Cork where she graduated with a First Class Hons. BMus, majoring in pop vocals and arrangement in 2014.

In the years that followed, Shona toured Ireland fronting a number of swing, jazz, motown and soul bands making her one of the more prominent figures on the Irish music scene. With such groups, she supported artists like The Overtones, Fatboy Slim and Janelle Monaé, playing some of Ireland’s most reputable venues.

Since 2016 Shona has been based in London where she completed her studies at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, receiving an MA in Musical Theatre Performance; an achievement she had worked towards since the age of 16. Shona is currently working as a professional vocalist in both the U.K. and Ireland where she has gained a loyal network of fans and followers.
