The Outlaw Orchestra (Formerly Dirty Diesel Outlaw Orchestra), formed in mid 2016, are a powerhouse four piece, based in the Deep South UK.

comprising of David Roux on guitars and lead vocals, Ryan Smith on drums/percussion and vocals, Stephen Welch on Banjo and Alex Barter on double bass and vocals. The style is a unique blend of hard Southern Rock through to Cajun, Dixie, Country, Flamenco and all cooked together with their unique signature style of ‘Heavygrass’, described as “A melting pot of styles from American Southern rock, British 70’s rock, Louisiana roots to bluegrass. Putting the fun back into rock n roll”.

The sound is truly unique, which showcases the musical talent which each band member brings to the fold, having the musical maturity to mix high energy with moody soulful rock, they have drawn comparisons to early The Cadillac Three, Blackberry Smoke, The Allman Brothers Band, Whiskey Myers, The Faces, The Black Crowes and even Motorhead through to the Cosmic American country genre. Everywhere the band go, with their unique blend of feel-good and fun-time countrified rock n roll, the crowds turn up in their masses to stay for the ride and rock out till the beer taps run dry.

Here is what Planet Rock’s Scott Colothan had to say about Outlaw Orchestra’s Latest EP:

Then you have their latest work, their new EP, The Devil Made Me Do It. Which I think is a really well made and show the bands growth. On a sheer production level, the music sounds better for one. Everything is a little cleaner and the instruments sound excellent. In particular the banjo, I’m a huge fan of the instrument in general and with the way it’s played here, it is truly exquisite. The song ‘See You In Hell’ is the track that shows this off the best in my opinion. I have to say the moment I put this EP on I was jamming to it. I found it a lot of fun and it brought a smile to my face. It all just comes together so nicely, and the country elements are really well blended with the rock parts. They created this sound that is so fitting and really natural. A great listen all around and it feels like they have really captured the style they want to commit to.

Let’s see what The Outlaw Orchestra has to say about Vocalzone!

“Since Vocalzone has taken us on board as one of their endorsed bands, they have made a real difference to our vocal tones and stamina. The vocals within our songs are very demanding with the gritty roaring southern twang we sing with. Vocal warm-ups combined with a few pastilles, we’re able to project a lot more and they really help keep our vocals in tip-top condition!”
