Lightscape

Lightscape

Lightscape are a 5 Piece Anthemic rock band from Norwich, who’s style and influence are vast, with an electric take on what they think a rock band in today’s day and age should sound like.

Forming early 2016, the band started with Brothers Sam (guitar) and James Nichol (Drums) searching for the right people to bring the sound in their heads to life. After much trial and error, and almost giving up, they came across singer Will Overton which really got things moving, followed swiftly by Ben Ashcroft on Guitar and Christy Bullen on Bass. Unsigned, self managed and self funded, the band have gigged with Black Stone Cherry, Lonely the Brave, Fort Hope, The Treatment, As Lions + many more with 2 Ep’s under their belt recorded by Oz Craggs (Mallory Knox/ Feed The Rhino)
‘For Present For Past’ and most recent release ‘Circles’ have proven to be a real hit, having over 100,000 plays on Spotify for one track alone!

Two of their songs (Blinded by the Lights and By Design) have been BBC Norfolk’s track of the week. Also, 3 Songs have been championed by Alex Baker on Kerrang Radio for a whole month each (Running, Live in Fear, By Design). September saw the band head to Austria for their first European Experience to play the main stage at the ‘Harley Davidson festival’ and support Rock heavy weights Black Stone Cherry. They also completed their first UK tour with Maven. A lively stage show, big chorus’ and riffs, while musically interesting but still accessible.

Here is the music video for the incredibly successful hit ‘By Design’.

The band aspire to keep on progressing through the industry and make a name for themselves with dreams of one day playing arenas Lightscape we’re longlisted for ‘Best Rock Act 2018’ at the Unsigned Music Awards. 2018 is being used to play new areas of the UK, Expand the bands following and set up an exciting future for the 5 piece. Let’s see what Sam Nichol has to say about Vocalzone!

“When on Tour, you never know when illness or a sore throat will strike, thanks to Vocalzone we can relax and perform to the best of our ability! Vocalzone has become as useful for our vocals as a guitarist carrying a spare set of strings.”
